KDA ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD OFFICERS, DIRECTORS

KENTUCKY DISTILLERS’ ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD OFFICERS, DIRECTORS

FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky Distillers’ Association announced today that Chris Morris of Brown-Forman has been named Chairman of the 130-year-old group that promotes and protects the Commonwealth’s signature Bourbon and distilled spirits industry.

Morris, who is Master Distiller for Brown-Forman, will serve through December 2010. The KDA Board of Directors selected officers during its annual meeting recently in Frankfort.

“We look forward to building on the momentum established by the success of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail as we develop programs to expand the appreciation of Bourbon on a global scale,” Morris said.

The Board appointed John Rhea, Chief Operating Officer at Four Roses Distillery in Lawrenceburg, as its Vice Chairman, and Jeff Conder, Vice President, Americas Operations at Beam Global Spirits & Wine in Clermont, as Secretary-Treasurer.

Other Board members for 2010 include:
- Diageo North America: Andrea Wilson, Director of Operations
- Heaven Hill Distilleries, Inc.: David Hobbs, Vice President-Plant Manager
- Wild Turkey Distillery: Tom Krekeler, Managing Director

The KDA, organized in 1880, includes Beam Global Spirits & Wine (Jim Beam and Maker’s Mark); Brown-Forman; Diageo North America; Four Roses; Heaven Hill and Wild Turkey.

The Kentucky Bourbon Trail® features six legendary distilleries, each offering a unique and educational experience on the art and craft of Bourbon-making: Four Roses, Heaven Hill, Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark, Wild Turkey and Woodford Reserve.
