Over 160 years ago, James A. Miller found himself in a time when you could name your whiskey Chicken Cock—and that’s exactly what he did, beginning a legacy that continues today in Louisville, KY. Visitors can step into history at the quaint Louisville home and become immersed in a rich, storied past that’s still being written. And for those who stop by on the weekend, the speakeasy offers live jazz and prohibition-era classics served right at the bar.
ChickenCock Whiskey was the house whiskey of the famous Cotton Club speakeasy in Harlem, NY and Duke Ellington wrote about the whiskey in his memoir.
Ingredients
2 ounces KY Straight Bourbon
3/4 ounce Coffee Liqueur
1/2 ounce Cinnamon Syrup
3/4 ounce CCW KY Straight Bourbon Cream
1/2 ounce Cold Brew
Instructions/Notes
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice, shake and strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with three espresso beans.
