National Bourbon Week Giveaway - Official Rules
The National Bourbon Week Giveaway (the “Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal residents of the United States who are at least 21 years of age at the time of entry. Void outside of the United States and where prohibited or restricted by law. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
This Sweepstakes is sponsored by the Kentucky Bourbon Trail®/Kentucky Distillers’ Association (the “Sponsor”), located at 100 Capital Ave, Frankfort, KY 40601, and is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram.
The Sweepstakes begins on June 2, 2025, at 12:00 PM ET and all entries must be received by June 4, 2025, at 12:00 PM ET (“Entry Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will be disqualified.
During the Entry Period, eligible participants may enter the Sweepstakes in one of two ways:
1. Instagram Method of Entry:
a. Follow @kentuckybourbontrail and @visitbardstown on Instagram
b. Like the Instagram post
c. Tag another valid Instagram user in the comments.
i. Each unique tagged user will count as one (1) entry, up to a maximum of five (5) entries per person allowed via this method.
2. Alternate Method of Entry (AMOE):
a. To enter without using Instagram, participants may email their full name and preferred email address to kbtcontent@lewiscommuncations.com with the subject line “National Bourbon Week Giveaway” during the Entry Period. Each email counts as one (1) entry. Participants may submit up to five (5) email entries.

Entry Limit: Maximum of five (5) total entries per person, regardless of method of entry. Entries beyond the limit will be disqualified.

Important: Entries received through Instagram or using the AMOE method carry equal weight and choosing one method over the other does not influence the chances of winning.

Entries must be received during the Entry Period to be valid. Incomplete or late entries will be disqualified. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Any personal information collected will be used solely for the administration of the Sweepstakes and will not be shared or sold to third parties.
By entering this Sweepstakes, you agree to abide by these Official Rules and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements.
One (1) winner will receive:
• Two (2) tickets to each of the following events: Bourbon Capital Mash-Up at Bespoke & Bond on June 13, 2025; Bourbon & Brunch at Preservation Distillery on June 14, 2025; Maker’s Mark’s Totally Bourbon Bash at Brindiamo Penthouse on June 14th, 2025.
• Prepaid hotel stay for two at The Trail Hotel on the nights of June 13, 2025, and June 14, 2025.
• Prepaid transportation for two to the following events: Bourbon Capital Mash-Up at Bespoke & Bond on June 13, 2025; Bourbon & Brunch at Preservation Distillery on June 14, 2025; Maker’s Mark’s Totally Bourbon Bash at Brindiamo Penthouse on June 14th, 2025.

Estimated Retail Value of all prizes: $4,609.82. Actual/appraised value may differ at the time of prize award. Both the winner and guest must be 21 or older. The prize is non-transferable and may not be substituted or redeemed for cash or credit, except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize or any portion thereof with one of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.

All prize details are at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor to use the winner’s name, likeness, and submitted content for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further compensation or notice, unless prohibited by law. If required by law, the Sponsor will report the value of the prize to the IRS and furnish the winner with an IRS Form 1099-MISC. Before receiving the prize, the winner may be required to complete and return a W-9 form and/or a Prize Affidavit acknowledging tax responsibility.

The events included in this prize may serve or offer alcohol. The Sponsor does not promote or encourage excessive consumption of alcohol. Alcohol will not be provided directly by the Sponsor and is not part of the prize. The winner and guest must comply with all venue rules and local laws regarding alcohol consumption, including providing valid ID upon request. The Sponsor and its partners assume no liability for any damages, injuries, or losses resulting from the consumption of alcohol at any event.

The winner is responsible for any expenses not explicitly stated as part of the prize package, including but not limited to meals, personal expenses, and transportation to and from Kentucky. All federal, state, and local taxes associated with the receipt or use of the prize are solely the responsibility of the winner.

If the winner of the Sweepstakes is unable or unwilling to meet the tax obligation or any other requirements associated with the prize, including but not limited to the payment of taxes, the prize may be forfeited at the discretion of the Sponsor. In such an event, the Sponsor reserves the right to select an alternate winner. If for any reason, a winner or alternate winner cannot be confirmed by June 6, 2025, which is at least one week prior to the start date of the events included in the prize, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Sweepstakes.
The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries and notified via direct message on Instagram by the @kentuckybourbontrail Instagram account within 7 days of the Sweepstakes end date. If the winner’s Instagram handle is unknown, the winner will be notified by email from kbtcontent@lewiscommuncations.com within 7 days of the Sweepstakes end date. If the potential winner does not respond within 48 hours, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. If for any reason, a winner or alternate winner cannot be confirmed by June 6, 2025, which is at least one week prior to the start date of the events included in the prize, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Sweepstakes. Sponsor is not responsible for messages that are filtered out or not received due to privacy settings.
By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsors, its affiliates, any event or hotel partners, agents, advertising and promotion agencies, Instagram, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and representatives from any liability, injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in this Sweepstakes or acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.
Except where prohibited, participants agree that any disputes, claims, or causes of action arising out of or relating to this Sweepstakes shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate state or federal court located in Franklin County, Kentucky. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Kentucky.
