Kentucky Ballet Theatre & Maker’s Mark Present 3rd Bourbon & Ballet This June

WHAT:           KBT and Maker’s Mark will present the third installment of Bourbon & Ballet in early June at the historic Maker’s Mark Distillery. The event, nestled into the center of the distillery, seamlessly connects an evening of spectacular six unique performances by the Kentucky Ballet Theatre and a four course supper by Star Hill Provision’s own Chef Newman Miller. The program is outdoor (rain or shine) under the stars, serving all incantations of Maker’s Mark’s whiskey. Round trip charter bus service is also offered for an additional fee and leaves from the host hotel in Central Lexington.

Kentucky Ballet Theatre is set to close their 2016-17 season at the beautiful Maker’s Mark

Distillery with the third annual Bourbon & Ballet program in partnership with Maker’s Mark on June 3, 2017. The event will showcase artistry and athleticism of the internationally renowned troupe of dancers from KBT in a four course supper and performance event. There are only 150 seats available for this exclusive evening under the stars in Loretto. Tickets are $150 each for this premium opportunity to experience two of Kentucky’s finest: Bourbon & Ballet.


Cocktails will start the evening on the terrace at 6 pm before guests descend the grounds to their dinner tables in the center of the distillery near the new Visitor’s Center and Bottling Warehouse, using the grounds as the sceneary for the evening as Star Hill Provisions’ Chef Newman Miller will prepare the four course dinner presentation. KBT will present six different pieces ranging from classical to contemporary repertoire in coordination with Chef Newman.


Round trip chartered transportation by Bluegrass Tours is offered for an additional $27 per

person and will leave from the host hotel, the Hampton Inn Lexington Medical Center at the corner of Nicholasville Road and Southland Road at 5 pm. Pickup address is 1953 Nicholasville Road. The bus will leave promptly to ensure on time arrival in Loretto. The return charter is due back by 11 pm Saturday evening in Lexington.


Artistic Director Norbe Risco has compiled an exciting program that will feature highlights from the most season with four unique blocks of short works. Risco and his four leading dancers: Jorge Barani, Kelsey Van Tine, Meisy Laffitte and Mauricio Fernandez return from the company’s first ever international tour to Cancun, Mexico May 27 & 28 as the dancers will perform four pieces across two concerts as the only American company in attendance.


The program will take place rain or shine and includes performances of the Harliquinade Pas de Deux, Boleros pas de deux, Animated Frescoes, Nisi Domini, Say Something and Grand Pas Des Eventails.
