Come and join us for a special dinner at Maker’s Mark Distillery to honor Chef Edward Lee with a 2018 TasteMaker’s Award. Chef Ed Lee landed in the Bluegrass state and opened 610 Magnolia, and in recent years, adding MilkWood & Whiskey Dry to the Louisville culinary scene. He also serves as the culinary director for Succotash in National Harbor, MD and Penn Quarter, DC. He has received multiple finalist nominations for the James Beard Foundation Awards. He frequently appears in print and on television, most recently serving as host and co-producer of a feature documentary called Fermented. Chef Lee is the author of Smoke & Pickles: Recipes and Stories from a New Southern Kitchen and Buttermilk Graffiti: A Chef’s Journey to Discover America’s New Melting Pot Cuisine. The celebration of Chef Lee will begin with Maker’s Mark cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the grounds of our Historic Landmark Distillery. If you’d like to learn a bit more about our bourbon-making process on a guided tour of the Maker’s Mark Distillery, please arrive an hour earlier (by 5:00 pm) for a tour. Dinner will take place in our onsite restaurant, Star Hill Provisions, where Chef Newman Miller and team will be serving up many of Chef Lee’s most notable dishes. Tickets are limited.
