Responsibility
Our distillers hold a deep commitment to alcohol responsibility, the community, and the environment. We strive to promote safety and responsibility along every stop on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail® tour to preserve the sustainable growth of Kentucky’s signature Bourbon industry.
True Kentucky Bourbon lovers will tell you: We always choose quality over quantity. We drink mindfully. We know our limits. And we never compromise on character.
Our distillery homes create a culture that welcomes everyone–Kentucky is where sober-curious and alcohol-free communities can enjoy the history, culture and craft of Kentucky just as much as those who choose to partake in our signature spirits. Cheers!
Before your tripPlan Ahead
Book your experiences early for best tour availability. Make sure to plan for dress codes, safe rides and policies for each distillery destination. Some of our destinations are a little off the beaten path so ride-shares aren’t always available on-demand.
Set Your Limit
Alcohol affects everyone differently. Once you learn how it affects you, set a limit for your daily consumption along the Kentucky Bourbon Trail®. True Kentuckians believe in quality over quantity.
Pack Your ID
In Kentucky, the perfect age for Bourbon is not up for debate. Our distillers are meticulous about not only checking IDs—but authenticating them using ID scanning software. You must be of legal drinking age (21+) to enjoy. Be prepared to present valid identification at all distillery destinations.
Plan Your Ride
You have too many good safe ride choices not to make the right one. Use one of our transportation partners to travel safely between distilleries or come with a designated driver.
Keep in mind that rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft are typically available in larger cities like Louisville and Lexington, but not in our more rural communities. If you are unsure about rideshare options, please contact the distillery you are planning to visit.
During Your TripEat First + Hydrate
For the most optimal enjoyment of your Bourbon Trail™ adventure, make sure to have a full meal before imbibing. We highly recommend these delicious dining options along the Kentucky Bourbon Trail® tour, and packing a snack bag never hurts. Water is Bourbon’s best friend, so make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day.
It’s Your Choice
Whether it’s a Bourbon, a cocktail, or a delicious zero proof beverage in your glass, it’s just fine with us. We welcome anyone to sip (or not sip) with us—it’s your choice!
After Your TripShare Your Adventure
