Celebrating and immortalizing the life and work of Scottish poet Robert or 'Rabbie' Burns, a Burns supper is a joyous, raucous and poetic event in the life of attendees and revelers. At Maker’s Mark, that sounds like just our kind of party and, owing to the Scottish ancestry of our founders, we are hosting our first ever Burns supper on his birthday. Gather in the Homeplace for cocktails and an intimate greeting and opening Toast, then parade – escorted by Bagpipes – through campus to Star Hill Provisions where the ceremonial Haggis will be sabred and guests will enjoy a traditionally inspired meal in several courses by our own UK-born Chef Richard Knight, paired with carefully selected cocktails, whisky, poetry and toasts. Prepare for an interactive night – we may call on you for the “Address to a Haggis” or to chime in for Auld Lang Syne. We strongly encourage you embody the spirit of Burns Night, and wear your "Highlands Best" dress - Kilts & Tartans welcome! This event includes a prix fixe menu – Please note, severe food allergies may restrict participation and we are unable to make substitutions to the menu for the evening.
