Registered Captains – here are some of the amazing bottles that you’ll have the chance to take home:
Old Forester’s 22nd iteration of its limited-edition, vintage-dated Birthday Bourbon created in celebration of founder George Garvin Brown’s birthday. This year marks the 152nd year of the company he began in 1870.
The 2022 Birthday Bourbon is presented at 96 proof. After showing exceptionally unique character during a tasting panel, the 11-year old barrels were chosen specifically for Birthday Bourbon. The full allotment of product represents one day’s production of Old Forester.
Angel’s Envy® Cask Strength release has received recognition and accolades from across the spirits industry, including several five-star recommendations in F. Paul Pacult’s Spirit Journal. The highly anticipated 11th release of Angel’s Envy Cask Strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels includes a limited run of just 16,980 bottles, crafted from some of the most remarkable barrels in our rickhouse.
Each year’s Cask Strength release is unique, drawing a distinct nose, palate and finish. The 11th release features an extraordinary profile that, even at 119.8 proof, is creamy and indulgent, making every sip of this spirit worth savoring. We recommend enjoying it neat, and perhaps with a few friends who appreciate outstanding whiskey.
All of Bardstown Bourbon Company’s Discovery Series releases push the boundaries of whiskey innovation, but Series #8 takes the program to a new level with their most complex creation to date. They start with an artfully crafted blend of Kentucky Bourbon, two Indiana ryes, and aged Canadian whiskey. They then add a custom selection of five oak staves that were created specifically to enhance the unique flavor of our original blend. The staves provide nuances that range from French toast to vanilla to Rioja barrels. The result is a celebration of innovation and a spirit bursting with flavor.
Since the beginning, Castle & Key has looked forward to the time that they could share their Bourbon with the world. Now, we raise a toast with some of the first proprietary Bourbon to be distilled and released by Castle & Key from the restored grounds of the historic Old Taylor Distillery in nearly five decades.
This bottling will be a 2023 Bourbon release. Since it has not yet been selected or bottled, there are no tasting notes to share, but these releases sell out quickly and are highly sought after. This is your chance to guarantee a bottle before anyone else!
This debut bottling of Peerless Small Batch Reserve is not only the first time it will be offered to the public, but it’s also the very first offering in the Frazier Museum’s new Bourbon Limited Club.
“An exceptional friendship calls for a rare pour.” said Kentucky Peerless founder Corky Taylor “Peerless Small Batch Reserve is making its debut exclusively via our friends at the Bourbon Limited club. This is a major milestone that we are truly humbled to be a part of.”
Master Distiller Caleb Kilburn adds, “Peerless Small Batch Reserve is drawn exclusively from our first three years of production. In addition to being of older age, our reserve barrels from ’15, ’16, and ’17 combine to showcase an array of flavors and a level of maturity that perfectly celebrates Peerless’s unmatched dedication to quality.”
Fewer than five barrels from Heaven Hill’s traditional mashbills are hand-selected for each limited-edition bottling of Heaven Hill Select Stock. This innovative, highly-collectable line of American Whiskeys is available in small quantities at the Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience® and select Kentucky retailers.
The 13th edition of the Select Stock features an incredible 8yr Rye Whiskey finished for another two years on 36-month air dried Chinquapin barrels charred to the 3rd level char. Released in the spring of 2022, this bottle is truly special to rye and Bourbon lovers alike.
Little Book® Chapter 6, “To The Finish,” is the sixth chapter in the Little Book Whiskey series. “To The Finish” offers a chance for any curious whiskey drinker to expand their palate – both seasoned connoisseurs and newcomers alike. The name of this year’s chapter offers fans of American whiskey an opportunity to experience liquid that 8th Generation Beam Master Distiller Freddie Noe personally had a hand in creating and showcases the innovation of Little Book chapters over the last six years.
Little Book Chapter 6 is a blend of five different liquid streams using different wood staves and barrel techniques that impart a unique liquid profile due to the secondary aging. This chapter continues to push the boundaries of blending and challenges what some might assume of lower aged whiskies. The way these liquid streams complement each other makes this liquid extremely approachable, even for those who haven’t given cask strength whiskey a try.
Lux Row’s limited-release double barrel Bourbon was bottled to commemorate the grand opening of the distillery.
Like the name suggests, the Bourbon was aged in two different barrels — for 12 years each — allowing for an extra-aged expression highlighted by notes of caramel, vanilla, oak and tobacco. Even the proof of 118.4 is a nod to the distillery, that opened their doors in April 2018.
Town Branch Distillery’s new limited-release Bourbon expression was released in conjunction with Bourbon Heritage Month in 2022. Town Branch Maple Barrel Stout Finished Bourbon is a one-of-a-kind, handmade Bourbon and is a limited release of 6,000 bottles. This unique expression of Town Branch Bourbon has been finished in freshly decanted Kentucky Maple Barrel Stout beer barrels to add flavors of the beer alongside traditional flavors of Bourbon.
Town Branch Maple Barrel Stout Finished Bourbon evokes flavors from the beer and Bourbon. Combined flavor profiles give hints of oak, caramel, brown sugar, and cherry to meet bold flavors of roasted malt, cocoa, and maple syrup.
Kentucky Peerless crafts their Bourbon from grain to bottle. The process takes time, but they want to create an authentic product that isn’t found elsewhere. Exposing Peerless Bourbon to two separate casks allows for two full barrel extractions. The result? Supercharged notes give this whiskey supreme complexity and mouthfeel. Our dedicated tasting team strategically selects barrels with prominent grain, fruit, and herbaceous notes as they are complemented well by the extra barrel character. This ultimately makes for a population of barrels that are packed with flavor, yet balanced enough to uphold the Peerless name.
The newest expression of the Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Batch Proof is being lauded as the most unique Batch Proof they have ever released.
This bottling was selected by a national retailer and as a result, was only available for purchase in a few select retail locations and as part of the VIP experience at the distillery, making it one of most rare Master’s Collections to date.
