So you enjoy a glass of Bourbon here and there … and you know that it’s important to Kentucky’s history and economy, but there’s so much more to learn about Bourbon! We’ll start 2020 with an overview of what, exactly, Bourbon is plus take a brief look at Bourbon’s history and how it’s made today. We’ll also cover how to nose and taste Bourbon like a professional and will sample a variety of Bourbons and near-Bourbons to explore the differences among Bourbon styles. This class will launch our third annual year-long “KY Bourbon School” with a new theme offered each month. No need to attend them all - mix and match as you like! We’ll open with the most classic of whiskey cocktails: The Old Fashioned, and ours will be made with James E Pepper 1776 Bourbon. Pours this month may include:
  • Maker’s Mark Bourbon (wheated)
  • Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon (traditional/low rye)
  • Old Forester Signature Bourbon (high rye)
  • Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon (very high rye)
  • Wilderness Trail Rye (rye whiskey)
  • Angel’s Envy (Bourbon finished)
Pours subject to change based on availability.
