Whiskey expert, author and New York Times reporter Clay Risen explores the origins, history, and evolution of America's distilling craft and culture at our next Bourbon Women Bourbon Book Club. His most recent book on whiskey (released in December 2021) is Bourbon: the Story of Kentucky Whiskey.
Mr. Risen is a leading authority on whiskey. He writes extensively on the subject for the Times and other outlets, and has written three previous books, including The Impossible Collection of Whiskey, Single Malt: A Guide to the Whiskies of Scotland and the bestselling American Whiskey, Bourbon and Rye: A Guide to the Nation’s Favorite Spirit.
Mr. Risen will be joining us at the Library at Oxmoor Farm for our first in-person Bourbon Book Club since March 2020. Michter's, our sponsor for this event, will have a welcome cocktail and a tasting lineup of their whiskey/bourbon products. Lite bites will be available.
Carmichael's bookstore will be on-site with a limited number of copies of Mr. Risen's book. It is also available on Amazon and at Barnes and Noble.
