Louisville’s Seelbach Hilton & Lexington’s Campbell House Designated as Official Sponsors of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail®

The Seelbach Hilton Louisville and The Campbell House Lexington, two of Kentucky’s most historic and prestigious hotels, have been designated as official partners of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail®. Each are managed by Musselman Hotels based in Louisville.

The Kentucky Bourbon Trail® offers visitors a first-hand educational experience into the art and science of crafting the world’s greatest Bourbon. Established by the Kentucky Distillers’ Association, the Kentucky Bourbon Trail has become a globally recognized, bucket-list journey for visitors from all over the world who want to experience Kentucky’s Bourbon culture first-hand. Last year, the famed Kentucky Bourbon Trail® and Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour® destinations welcomed nearly two million visitors.

The Seelbach Hilton and The Campbell House both feature convenient access to I-64 and proximity to the distilleries. Both properties already see a large number of Kentucky Bourbon Trail® guests and with this official partnership designation, each hotel will further expand upon its Bourbon-related hospitality offerings.

“We are honored to add two of Kentucky’s most iconic hotels as official partners of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail tour,” said Eric Gregory, President of the Kentucky Distillers’ Association. “Visitors are pouring into Kentucky to enjoy our proud heritage, rich history and true authentic Bourbon experience and we are proud to enrich their visit by offering truly world-class accommodations.”

One of the grandest, luxury hotels in Kentucky, The Seelbach Hilton Louisville is located in the heart of downtown Louisville’s business and entertainment district. Established in 1905, the Beaux Arts landmark has 308 rooms and has housed many high-profile people including a duchess, nine presidents, and 14 Grammy-winning musical groups. The Golden Era landmark was also a favorite spot for American author F. Scott Fitzgerald, who used the Seelbach as inspiration for his novel, “The Great Gatsby,” and even used the Grand Ballroom as the backdrop for Tom and Daisy Buchanan’s wedding reception.

Once an equestrian farm, The Campbell House Lexington is nestled in the heart of horse country with local roots spanning more than six decades back to 1951. Curio is proud to pay homage to the hotel’s location deep in the heart of Kentucky by featuring an equestrian-themed modern décor mixed with Southern elegance. The property recently completed a multi-million dollar renovation and now features 241 upgraded guest rooms, over 25,000 square feet of redesigned event space, and new restaurant and bar, The Rackhouse Tavern.

The Kentucky Bourbon Trail has become one of the state’s most popular tourism attractions with visitors from all 50 states and more than 50 countries. The experience will celebrate its 21st birthday in 2020 by throwing a year’s worth of Bourbon fetes with distilleries across the Bluegrass hosting a variety of pop- ups, parties, and events to mark the milestone.
