Founded in 2001 by Scott Quigley, Pensive Distilling Company is a rapidly growing distillery + kitchen located in Newport, Kentucky. Pensive Distilling Company offers a wide range of products: vodka, moonshine, Bourbon – ranging from 80 proof to cask strength, cognac finished Bourbon, and more products yet to come. Pensive’s primary location is 720 Monmouth Street which was home to a Speakeasy during the years of prohibition. Pensive keeps the speakeasy theme alive during their weekend tours, requiring a password to gain access to their historic Speakeasy located upstairs in their location.With award winning burgers and tours, this is a can’t miss spot on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail®.

.25 ounce Demerara Syrup

Stir and strain ingredients, garnish with orange peel and Luxardo cherry.

Under Kentucky law, visitors can purchase up to 9 liters per customer, per day at distillery gift shops. Options to ship product back to your home may be available. Please consult with each distillery and know that your state laws might prohibit shipping.
While each distillery tour is unique, plan on spending at least an hour and a half at each to tour, taste, and visit the gift shop. Many distilleries offer extended and abbreviated tours in addition to a standard one hour tour. While there are no admission fees to visit your favorite distilleries, all distilleries charge a fee for their tours. Some distilleries have abbreviated or extended specialty tours that vary in cost.
