Boundary Oak Distillery is one of Kentucky’s fastest-growing distilleries. By selling the most valuable bottle ever sold in American history and with brands like George Patton and Abraham Lincoln, Boundary Oak has truly become America’s craft distillery. Their roots trace back to the base of a 100-year-old oak tree, which springs some of the purest limestone water found in the knobs of Central Kentucky. Today, this natural spring is used to distill their small-batch Bourbon, amber and moonshine – the first from Hardin County since Prohibition.
Boundary Oak Distillery produced and sold the two most valuable bottles in American history. Yes, that’s right. They hold two world records for most money grossed for a single bottle of Bourbon.
Ingredients
1 1/2 ounces Lincoln Bourbon
1/2 ounce Lavender Syrup
1/2 ounce Fresh Lemon Juice
Ginger Beer
Mint Sprig to garnish
Instructions/Notes
Combine all ingredients in cocktail glass and top with ginger beer and ice. Add mint as garnish.
All distilleries offer a tasting at the end of their standard tour. Some offer tasting-only experiences as well. But remember, slow down, savor your experiences and drink responsibly.
Under Kentucky law, visitors can purchase up to 9 liters per customer, per day at distillery gift shops. Options to ship product back to your home may be available. Please consult with each distillery and know that your state laws might prohibit shipping.
While each distillery tour is unique, plan on spending at least an hour and a half at each to tour, taste, and visit the gift shop. Many distilleries offer extended and abbreviated tours in addition to a standard one hour tour. While there are no admission fees to visit your favorite distilleries, all distilleries charge a fee for their tours. Some distilleries have abbreviated or extended specialty tours that vary in cost.
