Coming north into Kentucky on I-65, Dueling Grounds Distillery in Simpson County is the first stop on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour®. You can also tour and enjoy a tasting at the historic Sandford Duncan Stagecoach Inn & Linkumpinch Dueling Fields. Which is their namesake. Sam Houston along with many others are known to have stayed at the inn and fought duels at Linkumpinch.

CLAIM TO FAME

The handcrafted batches of Linkumpinch Bourbon are double-pot distilled and aged in charred oak barrels, and embody grains of the region. The distillery is the first of its kind in the area since Prohibition.

Kentucky Ruby

Ingredients

1 1/2 ounces Linkumpinch Bourbon

1 ounce Pomegranate Juice

1/2 ounce Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice 

1/2 ounce Agave Syrup

Sugar for rim

 

Instructions/Notes

Add the Bourbon, pomegranate juice, lemon juice and agave to a mixing glass with ice. Shake and strain into sugar rimmed coupe glass.
