WhistlePig, The Vault Tasting Experience

While it all started with Rye, the launch of our 10-year Bourbon was the perfect occasion to come to Kentucky to show the community and traveling whiskey fans how WhistlePig is pushing boundaries to make both Rye and Bourbon bigger and bolder than ever

We wanted our Kentucky home to be part of the fabric of Louisville, and the chance to transform and give life to this historic building was the perfect opportunity. What more, our collectible PiggyBank limited edition and rare whiskeys from the WhistlePig Vault couldn’t find a better home than an original, early 20th century bank.

Originally a German Security Bank, 403 Market Street opened its doors in 1911 – at the time the largest bank in Kentucky. It survived the Great River of 1937, when 70% of Louisville was underwater, and eventually closed before being reborn in 1993 as a pool hall. Bank Shot Billiards was known as the best place to shoot pool in all of Louisville and for making a mean sandwich. The local haunt sadly closed in 2018 and has laid dormant since WhistlePig transformed it intoThe Vault – bringing the Greek revival limestone façade, Tennessee marble interior, and eponymous bank Vault back to its full glory

In true WP fashion, we want to invite fans beyond the Vault door and into the fold as family. TheVault is not a traditional tour offering, but a personalized whiskey experience with unique access to custom blends, hand sealed collectibles, and archived offerings.
